Rocking a party right
Use the following tips to rock a party with DJ Mixer
Connect to speakers
To play in a party, connect to a Stereo system or to iPod speakers system using a standard audio cable.
Pump up the volume
Turn the master volume all the way up in the settings tab and connect your device to the sound system using a standard audio cable (not included with DJ Mixer). If the volume is too loud, lower the volume in the stereo system, not in DJ Mixer.
Go Airplane Mode
To make sure you mix is not interrupted when using an iPhone - turn on Airplane Mode in the iPhone settings. This will ensure that phone calls, notifications and text messages won't disrupt your mix audio. if you use an iPod Touch turn your wifi connection off while you play to ensure that notifications won't disrupt your audio.
To auto-mix or not to auto-mix?
Before starting to interactively mix using the mixer, turn off auto-mix. When done mixing, just turn auto-mix back on to have DJ Mixer continue the mix for you automatically and go enjoy the party...
Power up
To make sure your device won't run out of power in the middle of a mixing session, connect it to a power outlet using an iPhone power cord before you start playing.
Fast track downloading
Connect your device to the Internet using wifi before downloading tracks from djmixer.fm. Your wifi connection is faster than your mobile carrier data connection. You'll want do download your tracks to your device before you play live.
Name your music
If your tracks are in the MP3 format, use iTunes on OS X or Windows Explorer when using Windows to set the track title and artist name before uploading to djmixer.fm. You can also edit the title and the artist of tracks in your playlist using DJ Mixer on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Naming your tracks allows you to more easily find them when playing live
Use the built-in mix effects
Sometimes you just don't find a right track or track section to mix in as the next track in your mix. You can use the built-in mix effects to have DJ Mixer play a vinyl sound effects and to automatically mix the next track in for you.
