DJing with Headphones
- DJ Mixer includes a unique patent-pending feature that lets you listen to the song that is loaded to the mixer before your audience can hear it.
- This feature allows you to cue and to tweak the song playback parameters so mixing it into your mix using the cross-fader will sound perfect!
- DJing with headphones requires 2 devices because iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads only have one sound out jack that you use to connect to a sound system for the main audio output of your mix
- Without headphones you are limited to mixes performed using visual information that appears on your devices screen and audio from the track you are mixing in when your audience already hears it.
To mix with headphones with DJ Mixer you’ll need 2 iDevices such as iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad and a WiFi network...
- You use the main device to output the main audio of your mix, typically to a sound system and to send headphones audio to the headphones device
- You use the headphones device to receive headphones audio from the main device and to hear the headphones audio in your headphones
Headphones Device Configuration - iPhone and iPod Touch
- Join a WiFi network
- Connect your headphones to the device
- Tap the Settings button at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the Use as Headphones button
Headphones Device Configuration - iPad
- Join a WiFi network
- Tap the Use as Headphones button in the main menu
Main Device Configuration - iPhone and iPod Touch
- Join the same WiFi network that the secondary device is on

Main Device Configuration - iPad
- Join the same WiFi network that the secondary device is on
- Unlock the DJ with headphones premium feature from the main menu screen
- Tap the Headphones button in the bottom-left side of the DJ Mixer screen
- Tap the Remote headphone switch to turn on sending cue audio to the secondary device
The audio sent to the headphones over the WiFi network is determined by the cross-fader position on the main device. For example, when the track in Deck A is played (cross-fader all the way to the left), the audio of the track in Deck B will be sent to the headphones for cueing.
